Week of March 16
1. Search our School Library Catalog and look up Helen Keller in the search box. Next click ‘keyword’ or hit the ‘Enter’ key.
How many books do we have on Helen Keller?
2. Log in to the Destiny Library Catalog by clicking the Log In box at the top right corner, and using your student number (200…) as your name and password. You will see your name appear at the top right corner when you are logged in.
3. Click on ‘Universal Search’ on the top left side of your School Library Catalog search page. Type in Helen Keller and click the magnifying glass, or hit the ENTER key to get results.
4. Explore what results you get for Helen Keller under Universal Search. You will see results for: books, e-books (electronic books like Myon), and websites. Click around and try to learn a new fact about Helen Keller.

Search our Library Catalog to see what books we have (called Destiny)
Choose your school name from the list of Elementaries (Snow or Howe)
Choose “catalog”
Search by typing in the box at the top of the page
(look up the words below by keyword to see how many we have for each of the words below)
All Grades K-5 (Write them down on a piece of paper with the number of books to the side).
Grades 2-5 (Also write down a title found for each of the words below as well, and write IN or OUT meaning whether or not the book is here in the library today).

Read at least one book about Martin Luther King, Jr. or a different famous African American (such as Rosa Parks).
Complete the Quiz, and Rate the book from 1 to 5 stars (how much you liked it)
(3rd grade and up): Write a one sentence book review for the book you read. You can write more if you want. You could start it with,

1. Log on to Myon.com
Use your login card to login (remember: it’s your student # for username, your birthdate for your password – month day year
Example: If you were born January 1, 2000, your password would be 01012000
If your birthdate was June 7, 1999 your password would be 06071999
2. Explore and read books of your choice in Myon.com and try to see if you can figure out how to track how much reading you’ve done so far. (number of minutes, number of books read, etc…)
