New Tardy Policy

Beginning today, Stout is implementing a new tardy policy.  This policy, which is modeled after the policy at Edsel Ford, allows for some tardies but holds students accountable for arriving to class on time and prepared.  The policy was introduced in A/A and has been reviewed at the beginning of each hour.

8 total tardies = one after school detention

16 total tardies = two after school detentions

24 total tardies will require a parent meeting.  If the meeting is not conducted in a timely manner, the student may be excluded from school until the meeting is held.

At 30 total tardies, additional consequences will be assigned.  These may include, but are not limited to, out-of-school suspensions, a second parent meeting, and/or a referral to a truancy officer.

If you have any questions or concerns about our new policy, please contact the Stout office.
