5-27-14 / SBAC Testing

The State of Michigan has plans to replace the MEAP test with a new, online test through Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBAC).  Stout is one of many schools piloting the test.  Students on Team 7B are testing for a portion of each day this week as follows:

Tuesday, May 27th: 1-3 hours for Language Arts testing

Wednesday, May 28th: 4th hour to complete ELA testing

Thursday, May 29th: 1-3 hours for Math testing

Friday, May 30th: 4th hour to complete Math testing

Since this is a pilot test, neither students nor the school receive any test results.  This is, however, a great opportunity for the students to see and experience the new format and question style for the test before it is formally given next spring.

If you have any questions about the testing, please feel free to contact me and I’d be happy to answer (or try to find you the answer).
