On Wednesday May 25, 2016 the PTA will be having a “Pizza for Snack” day fundraiser. The process is the same as usual.  Students may order pizza, juice, and chips.

Prices are as follows:

$1 per pizza slice

$.50 per juice box

$.50 per bag of chips

Dear Families,

On Monday, May 23^rd we will be going on a field trip to the Detroit Zoo. We are leaving the school at 9:00 am SHARP and will return back to Lowrey at 2:30 pm. The students will be able to see a variety of zoo animals and their habitats.  Please be on time, buses will leave at 9:00!!!

Your child will need a bag lunch with a drink. NO GLASS BOTTLES! So please pack your child a healthy lunch to eat! Students may bring money for the gift shop, but please remember it is their responsibility to keep the money.

Parents will be chaperoning so they are not to bring younger siblings with them.  The bus will be able to seat 5 parents from each Kindergarten class only.  If you want to come along you are more than welcome to follow us in your vehicle.   In addition to the cost for admission it is a $10 parking fee if driving separately.

Kindergarten Graduation

Please donate $3 for Kindergarten Graduation.  Please send in the money by Tuesday, May 31 in order to purchase the items for the graduation celebration (caps, and goodies). Thank you in advance!

The ceremony will be on Tuesday, June 14th in the Little Theater at 8:30 am. This will be an exciting day for the children! Children are encouraged to dress up for the big day!  More info to follow with regards to the graduation. J

Dear Parents, 

Lowrey School is in dire need of your help. We are looking for gardening donations from our lovely community. We are trying to teach children the importance of landscaping, the immense responsibility it takes to care for the environment, and to keep it clean. Not only does this allow for our school to be more appealing to the eye, it truly helps to teach children to be more accountable. Unfortunately, budgets don’t allow for us to do this on our own, therefore, we are calling upon the help of our Lowrey families.  After all, this is your home as much as it is ours!  We would need donations such as trees, and flats (flowers). We are looking to plant flowers all around the school building. We are trying to stay within a white and red flower color scheme to represent the colors of our school, but whatever you can offer us we are willing to take. Also, we understand your time is valuable, therefore, if it is an inconvenience for you to run out and get the flowers yourself we will gladly be taking cash donations in place of it. Any amount donated will be greatly appreciated.  We hope you can help us to make our school more beautiful!!

Lowrey is participating in a food drive for, Sadr Foundation Food Drive ending Thursday May 19th! Only three more days to receive donations!!!

Please note that all food donations need to be non-perishable and may not include any glass containers.

Please send items to the classroom.

Examples of donations may include:

Cereal, peanut butter, jelly, pasta, canned vegetables, canned fruit, canned tuna, juice boxes, lentils, beans, mac and cheese, ect.
