March is Reading Month
The reading madness has begun 🙂 Everyone should have started keeping track of their reading minutes on the paper that came home in the packet last week. Our goal for each week is at least 120 minutes. If you are missing the page for keeping track of minutes, click here: MADNESS K-2 weekly min
Please make sure your child turns in their minutes paper every Friday in order for it to count!
Events this week:
- Make a poster that encourages reading and bring it to school on Wednesday.
- Thursday is “fact in your pocket” day. This week in their pocket they should have the names of 3 NCAA college basketball teams. Students will be randomly selected to share their fact and earn a small prize.
- Friday – turn in reading minutes (Week 1)
Book Fair Purchases
We visited the book fair today to make our wish lists. They should have come home in our folders. We forgot to write in our planner that tomorrow is our day to make our purchases. The last day for the book fair is Friday.

When it’s chilly outside, it may be a good idea to have your child dress in layers that include a sweatshirt and long pants to help them be cozy in our classroom.
