Happy Spring Break :)

I wish you all a happy, safe spring break!!

I didn’t send home any homework for over break, but hopefully you can squeeze in some reading – maybe on Raz-kids?  Students have also been introduced to MyOn by Mr. Neff.  This site seems to have lots of high interest books that kids can listen to and take a quiz on – similar to Raz-kids.  They use their student # (which most of them have memorized) and their birthdate (mmddyyyy) to log in.

Zoo Field Trip – Since the zoo trip is the 2nd day we come back (Tuesday the 14th), I just wanted to remind you that students will need a bag lunch that day. Also, please make sure that your child dresses for comfort and to fit with the weather that day. If you are a chaperone, you may want to have a backpack with you to help carry lunches.  Chaperones should meet in the classroom at 9:15 so that we can go over stuff, but then you will drive yourselves to the zoo and meet us by the front gates.

Classroom News…

  • Since we won’t be here on opening day next week, tomorrow is Tiger’s Day.  Let’s dress in our Tiger gear!!!
  • Library check-out was today, but if you forgot your books, bring them tomorrow.  I will find a time to send them to check-out.

  • We had a SUPER visit with our guest reader yesterday.  Thanks so much to Mr. Galvan for reading us a story about Policeman Lou, helping us remember our safety tips, and even letting us try to lift that heavy police vest you wear everyday.  It was a great start to our week 🙂
