Teacher appreciation week is so much fun!!  Thanks so much for the beautiful flowers today!!  We have an amazing bouquet brightening our room 🙂  I am also totally in love with the bulletin board that our room moms put together!!  Check it out:

• We have just confirmed a field trip to Ford Lanes in Dearborn Heights for Wednesday, June 6th.  We will leave school right after lunch at 12:40 and return to school by 3:15.  I wanted to let you know now because we WILL need parent drivers for this trip! More information will follow, but if you are willing to be a parent driver for this trip, please let me know.

• Our 2nd grade picnic will be Tuesday, June 12th from 11-1 p.m.

I realized today that I never posted about our field trip…sooo sorry!  We had a super cute field trip to the Dearborn Historical Museum.  The volunteers at the DHM complimented our class a few times on how well-behaved they were 🙂  Thanks to the moms who joined us!!

We ended March is Reading Month this week by continuing to enjoy our guest readers.  Thanks to Adriana’s Mom, Nora’s Mom, Khalil’s Dad, Ali’s Mom, Ameer’s Mom, Hussein’s Mom, and Hassen’s brother for taking time to come and read to us 🙂

We had a busy week of guest readers and loved every minute of it.  Thanks so much to Jake’s Mom, Gus and Zora’s Mom, Abraham’s Mom, and Hassen’s brother for taking the time to come read.  We also had a visit from author, Gino Perri, and even Maya’s sister came to read as part of an assignment.  Fun!!!
