got dice?

  • We have a strategy we use during Work on Writing called “roll a story”.  However, to use this strategy we need dice.  It would be really awesome if we had enough dice for every student to keep one in their book box.  If you are out and about (maybe the dollar store?) and see some dice, we would very much appreciate any donations.  They can be foam or plastic – they just need to be small enough to fit into our book boxes or pencil cases.
  • Red spelling notebooks should be returned to school tomorrow.  Please make sure your child has at least 3 activities completed (rainbow words and 2 more)…they can always do more 🙂  On their spelling test tomorrow they will get the 5 pattern words they have been practicing, 5 words they didn’t study but still follow the pattern, and then the 5 science words that they have been studying.
  • math homework came home today – just a page of 6 math boxes.  Math tests are graded and will come home tomorrow.

homework

  • Today we brought home math boxes for homework – they should do all of the boxes on page 19 and #’s 2, 4, and 6 on page 20.
  • Yesterday, students should have brought home their red, spelling notebooks.  We did rainbow words together in class.  They should do 2 MORE activities at home.  When they bring it back to me on Friday morning, they should have 3 activities done!!
  • We made the cutest Frankensteins today 🙂  Ask your child about what we wrote on the inside…
