- New spelling words today are: screen, stripe, sprain, struck, spruce. For many kids, those 5 words are the only ones they have to study. Some students will come home with 10 words today. That is because I have started adding individual words for them along with the pattern words. The individual words will be part of their test.
- We are back to building stamina during Daily 5. Today we practiced Read to Self. Tomorrow we will build our stamina for Work on Writing. If all goes well with those, we should have all of our Daily 5 choices back by Friday.
- If your child completed a December Reading Calendar for BookIT, please return it by Wednesday. The January calendar came home today. Students need to read on at least 25 days to earn their certificate.
