Monthly Archives: September 2014

  • LATE START tomorrow!!  Students report to school at 9:35 🙂
  • Picture envelopes came home today.  Pictures will be Monday.  If you are ordering pictures, you can send your envelope back this week and I will hold it for them, or you can wait and send it back with them on Monday.
  • We are decorating our Work on Writing notebooks with pictures of people, food, places, vacations, cars, or characters that we love.  This may help provide some inspiration when we have writers block 😉   If you haven’t done it yet, please help your child collect pictures that can be used for this and send them to school in a baggie.  If I have a parent who has time later this week to come in and help us decorate our notebooks, please let me know…
  • I am still missing 6 of the tan emergency cards that came home in the red folder.  If you still have yours, please review the information and make any necessary changes – then return it to school.

We saved a life!!!!

We saved Sammy the Worm from drowning this afternoon using only 2 paperclips, a toothpick, some tape, a straw, and a piece of string.  It was AWESOME 🙂

In other news…

  • The PTA picnic is coming soon on September 9th.  I will be there from 4:30-5:30 so I hope to see you too!!
  • Our first Late Start is this Wednesday the 10th…students report at 9:35 a.m.
  • Save the Date – Open House is Thursday, September 18th at 6:00 p.m.
  • Weekly spelling words will start on Monday.  Students will bring home a red spiral notebook on Monday with directions.
  • Please work on collecting photos, stickers, pictures from magazines, etc… and send them to school in a baggie for your child to decorate their Work on Writing notebook next week.

WELCOME :)

Our 1st day was great!!  We were very busy getting to know each other and practicing some classroom routines.  Today your child brought home our information letter (with a handy magnet so you can stick it on the fridge!!) and a simple sheet for you to fill out that will give me a little more insight into your child. Please take a moment to fill out the white sheet and send it back to me this week.  Thanks 🙂
