Today in Language Arts the students wrote a constructed response comparing and contrasting The Prince and the Pauper play to the movie.  They also took their vocabulary quiz.

In Language Arts today the students watched the movie version of The Prince and the Pauper.  While watching, the students completed a thinking map comparing and contrasting the play to the movie.  Tomorrow the students will be using their thinking map to create a constructed response.

In Language Arts today the students were given time to reflect on their test.  They looked at the QAR strategies associated with the test and they reflected on the unit.

In Language Arts today the students took their test on The Prince and the Pauper.  Interactive notebooks, reading logs, and all late work were also collected.  I will try my best to have grades updated as soon as possible but it most likely will not be until Monday.

In Language Arts today the students submitted their brochures.  We also reviewed the required materials for the reading interactive notebooks.  After Daily 5, the students were given time to play jeopardy to review for their test tomorrow on The Prince and the Pauper.

In Language Arts today, the students were given time to work on the final draft of their brochures.  They also prepared their writing interactive notebooks to be checked.  Notebooks checks will be taking place on Friday in addition to The Prince and the Pauper test.

Brochure Project

In Language Arts today the students reviewed The Prince and the Pauper as well as figurative language used in the final scenes.  The students also started working on a rough draft creating a brochure about The Prince and the Pauper. The students will continue working on these tomorrow in class.

The fourth marking period ends next Friday which means any late assignments for this marking period are due by this Friday, March 4th at 3:05 pm.

In Language Arts today the students finished acting out The Prince and the Pauper. The students were also given time to work on a constructed responses that corresponds with their good fit book. Lastly, the students practiced editing sentences for number rules.
