In Language Arts today the students continued working on their cause and effect essays they began with Ms. Thomas.  Today we focused on the introduction and tomorrow we will spend time on the conclusion.

The students were also given time to become familiar with the formatting of the Language Arts component of the MSTEP.  They were given the opportunity to login to a practice page and play with the tools they will be allowed to use on the test.

The NWEA test will be next Friday and the following Monday.  I have added links to some websites the students can use to practice sample questions if they struggle with the formatting of the test.  This may also help to ease some of the nervousness of the students.

Have a great evening!

Today in Language Arts the students reflected on their folktale unit.  They reviewed the big question for the unit as well as the test questions. They were also given their tests back and test retakes were scheduled.

Lastly, we began our cause and effect unit.  This unit is co-taught between Ms. Thomas and myself.  Today we reviewed what they learned in Ms. Thomas’s class to make sure everyone was on the same page.

Have a fantastic day!

We will be taking the NWEA test next Friday, April 22nd and the following Monday, April 25th.  I have attached a few links to this blog post for students who would like to practice a few sample questions.
