In Language Arts today the students finished reading “The Good Deed” if they did not finish it in class on Friday.  When they were done, they discussed possible themes with their elbow partner.  We then used this information to write a constructed response about the theme of “The Good Deed”.

The students also spent time in class reading chapters 15-18 of Tuck Everlasting.  While reading,  the students were responsible for answering questions about the story. Students who did not finish will be given time in class tomorrow to do so.

Tomorrow is our library day and since conferences will be taking place on Wednesday, tomorrow is also our book fair day.  Please be prepared to go to the library and the book fair tomorrow during class!

Lastly, the sixth grade students will be piloting a new locker procedure starting tomorrow at Bryant in an effort to reduce the amount of tardiness and locker trips during the middle of class. The students will be allowed to go to their lockers to get supplies before school, after advisory, before lunch, after lunch, and at the end of the day. This means they will no longer be allowed to go to their lockers after 2nd hour and between 3rd and 4th hours. Once again, this is going to be grade-wide and potentially school-wide in the future.

Have a great evening and thank you for your support!
