In Language Arts today the students had the opportunity to create a learning plan for themselves online.  Typically, this is something that we keep a record of in the students’ planners but we have decided to take it digital starting with our incoming sixth graders.  This is something we will continue to work on and build upon throughout the course of the school year.

The students were also given the opportunity to read chapter 14 of The Giver if they did not finish in class it was homework.

Have a great evening!

Since the field trip was academically related to the folktale unit students recently completed in Language Arts, the CER response students wrote after the field trip will be graded in Language Arts class for all sixth grade students.  Any sixth grader who was absent on the day of the field trip will be required to read a written version of the story and create a CER response as a make up assignment.
