In Language Arts today the students read their first folktale, Message from a Caterpillar. We discussed the theme, genre, POV, and identified figurative language within the poem.  We also answered The Big Question, “Do story plots change within different societies? Why do you think this?”

The end of the 5th Marking Period is this Friday.  Please make sure all work is submitted by 2:55pm.  We will be NWEA testing for Language Arts next Tuesday and Thursday.  If you are absent, the make up date will be Monday, May 11th.  We will be doing the reading component on Tuesday and the language component on Thursday.  Please make sure you are reading books that are going to challenge your reading level.  Moby Max will also be available for additional support.
