In Language Arts today, the students continued to focus on vocabulary. Yesterday we looked for words that we did not know in the story, Jeremiah’s Song. We made predictions for their meaning based upon in-context clues, prefixes, and suffixes. Today, we created a word wall with these words. Once the word wall was completed, the students took a quiz on the point of view of the story.
Our vocabulary books were due today as well as our compare/contrast essays. The grades for vocabulary have been posted. I will try to have the papers graded as soon as possible. I will have them done before the end of the marking period in two weeks.
