In Language Arts today, our class continued our discussion on genres. We discussed that there are five main types of literary genres, fiction, non-fiction, poetry, drama, and folktale. When trying to be more specific in classifying, we must first ask ourselves if what we are reading is fiction or non-fiction. From there, we can ask ourselves if we can be more specific by determining if our text is a poem, a drama, or a folktale. We will learn how to be even more specific tomorrow.
Our figurative language test is tomorrow. I have added a video that has figurative language examples for you to practice with to this blog post. It includes an example of an oxymoron but students do not need to know that for their test tomorrow.
Homework: Study, Read for 20 minutes.
Have a great evening!
