In Language Arts today the students learned the difference between hyperboles and idioms.  We looked at some examples of each of these to help us solve the problem.  We also recorded this information in our interactive notebooks. In addition to looking at figurative language, the students reviewed author’s purpose and point of view.  We did this by determining what the POV and author’s purpose were for the stories, “Eleven” and “The School Play.”
