Today was the last day to make up the Elements of a Story test.  At this point, grades for the marking period are completed and Report Cards will come home on Friday afternoon.  Parent Teacher Conferences will be Monday, October 27th from 4 to 7 and Tuesday, October 28th from 3:30 to 6:30.  I look forward to seeing everyone!

In class today the students continued to learn about various forms of figurative language.  Today we focused on alliteration and onomatopoeia.  We talked about what these words mean and we looked at examples of them in class.  I have added the  video examples we watched to this blog post.

Our class also started talking about Question and Answer Relationship (QAR) strategies that they can use when test taking.  We applied these strategies to the multiple choice questions on our Elements of a Story test.
