In Language Arts today the students were given the opportunity to use their brainstorming sheet from yesterday to create the rough draft of a poem.  If they did not finish, it was assigned as homework. If the rough draft was completed, it was filed in the students’ writing folders.

The students also continued to learn about figurative language. We focused on alliteration and symbolism. I have included the example videos to this blog post.

Lastly, the students practiced identifying descriptive adjectives as well as using the articles “a” and “an” in example sentences.

One week from tomorrow is the end of the marking period. That means all late work for 2nd Marking is due tomorrow. Read Theory, One-Pager Number Three, and One-Pager Number Four are also due tomorrow.
