Today in Language Arts the students continued to learn about figurative language by reading the story, “the Jacket”, and identifying figurative language while they read.  In our classroom, we have a figurative language board.  From this point forward in the year, when the students identify figurative language in their reading, they will be allowed to add their example to the figurative language board.

Before the students read, we spent time analyzing the vocabulary in “The Jacket” to help familiarize us with the text. We also created a Frayer Model of our vocabulary words.

Please remember that the end the marking period is next Friday.  That means all late work for any core class is due TOMORROW!

Have a great evening!
