Happy Halloween!
The students had a condensed class period today because the whole sixth grade watched Jumanji in the afternoon. This was the students’ reward for completing the first marking period of middle school! Tomorrow during Advisory we will be practicing our summary skill set by writing a summary on the movie.
While in class, the students were introduced to a new website called Read Theory. This website allows students to practice their reading skills with texts that are at their grade level. The students completed the entry assessment that will give them texts at their level while in class today.
The students also spent time analyzing the text features in their article of the week and completing their response to last week’s article.
