In Language Arts today the students continued to learn about characterization. We reviewed the five components of characterization and then began applying our knowledge to one of the stories from our literature book. The students were given three choices: The Dogs of Pompeii, Scout’s Honor, or Jeremiah’s Song.  While reading in a small group, the students were asked to identify the characterization of the protagonist.

With the remainder of our class time, the students continued to practice editing sentences for commas.
