In Language Arts today the students continued to practice analyzing a folktale by looking at the story, Rumplestiltskin. I have attached the video we watched to this blog post. The students were also assigned a folktale project. Over the next week and a half, the students will be working in groups of three or four to to analyze a folktale for its literary elements as well as determine which elements make it a folktale. This project will have two parts, a powerpoint presentation and a scrapbook page focusing on the theme.  They will be provided with scrapbook paper for the theme component. We will be presenting these projects in class on Wednesday, April 24th. They will be given time in class every day between now and then to work on their project.
