In Language Arts today the students were taken to the library since they didn’t have the opportunity to go yesterday. At this point, students should be starting their fifth Good Fit Book of the year if they have not started already.
The students also spent time looking at figurative language. Today they worked in groups and looked at short stories. They focused on identifying the figurative language in the text and explaining what it is. This time, rather than being told which type of figurative language is in the story, they had to figure it out by discussing it.
Lastly, the students spent time practicing comparative and superlative adjectives.
It has come to my attention that anyone who has a Verizon cell phone plan will no longer be able to receive text messages from Remind unless they are signed up for the app. If you are a Verizon customer and you download the app (Remind 101), you will still be able to receive notifications about what is going on in class. If Verizon is not your service provider, you will not be impacted. This system will go into place on Monday, January 28th. Please make sure you download the app. before then if you want to continue receiving text messages.
Have a great evening!
