In Language Arts today the students begain the NWEA Language Test. We will be NWEA testing for the majority of next week so I will not be posting to the blog in the beginning of the week.
When the students are done with all of their testing, they are working on a personal narrative. They must right about a problem they have overcome in their lives. Their planning page needs to be completed by Tuesday since I will be looking at it during class to make sure they are on the right track. Once the planning page has been completed, the students will be allowed to start working on their rough draft. Rough drafts need to be ready to edit by Monday, February 5th. The students were given the requirements for the personal narrative yesterday and I have included them in this blog post.
I will be offering test retakes for the Unit 2 Comprehension Test and the Unit 3 Vocabulary and Grammar Test Monday before school at 7:15 or after school at 11:05. Students signed up in class for the retake. No retakes will be offered to students who did not sign up, are missing assignments, or do not have signed documentation from their parent or guardian.
I am doing my best to update grades as quickly as possible. I have graded all of the interactive notebooks and posted scores. The only grades that need to be added are One Pagers Three and Four. I will have these done by the end of the day on Monday.
Have a fantastic weekend!
