In Language Arts today the students continued to learn about the different types of textual evidence.  We practiced looking at sample sentences and identifying which type of textual evidence they are.

We also continued to learn about the parts of speech by defining what each one is.

Lastly, the students spent time reading their article of the week and identifying the claim within the article. This week, the students will write a response on the claim made within the article and they will use textual evidence to support their thinking.

Don’t forget that tonight is the last night for conferences.  If you were not able to attend on Monday, I encourage you to come tonight. Math and Language Arts conferences will be taking place in Ms. Taha’s room (40) while Science and Global Studies will be in Mr. Peterson’s room (11). Conferences will begin at 3:30 and end at 6:30.  I encourage all families to arrive by 6:15 to ensure you have time to meet with the teachers you need to see.  Arriving later than 6:15 may not guarantee that the teachers will have time to meet with you.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Homework:
