In Language Arts today the students reviewed the pyramid of action.  We discussed what each part means and applied this to the story we read yesterday, All Summer in a Day. We also determined why the author would write this story, the point of view, and genre of the story.  Once we were done looking at the story, we played a game to help us review for our vocabulary test.

Tonight is the last night for conferences.  Our team of teachers will be meeting in Mrs. Cosenza’s Classroom.  We will be in her room from 3:30 until 6:30.  Today is also the first day students are able to retake the figurative language quiz.  I will be offering the retake today at 3:30.  Our other scheduled date is tomorrow morning at 7:20.

Homework: Read for 20 minutes, study for the vocabulary quiz on Thursday, and make a connection to All Summer in a Day.
