Hello!
Today in Language Arts we discussed words we do not know for various sections of text. Students reading The Giver focused on chapters 4 through 9. Students reading Divergent focused on chapters 6 through 15. We identified words we do not know with small groups of students and used these lists to create a whole group list. Students in class were assigned a word to find the definition, term in a sentence, synonym(s), and have an idea of a picture that would go along with their word. The following are the lists of words each student is responsible for and they are broken up by class period as well.

Have a great evening!
Journal Topic: Choice day! Write about a topic of your choice.
Hello Ms. Traylor,
I left my Giver questions at school and I was wondering if you could tell me what they were.
Thanks
Here they are.
1. What dream did Jonas continue having?
2. Why did Jonas feel uncomfortable listening to all the twelves about their first day of training?
3. What weird thing keeps happening to Jonas?
4. How does Fiona feel about her new job?
5. Why do you think people in the book do not see colors? How has the absence of color helped this society? How has it harmed it?
6. What do you think might be very different in the world if people had only one generation memories?
7. At this point in the book, what are your feelings about Sameness in the community?
Miss Traylor, I thought you said in class that you have to have 100 minutes of mobymax. You only said 60 in your blog
Yes, I said you needed one hour which is 60 minutes.
