Some Updated Info and Social-Emotional Support Form

Posted on

I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! Wishing all of the families who celebrated the holiday, a very happy one too!

I know that summer is just around the corner, but we still have a few more weeks of learning to complete our very different school year. Please don’t forget to make sure you and the kids get outside and soak in the fresh air and sunshine in between hard work.

Summer school information will be coming out soon. The program will take place between July 13th – August 14th and be recommended for only some students. Parents will be contacted for students who are being referred for this.

There will also be a pick up day for student’s personal belongings next week. More specific details will be given soon.

Have a nice and safe weekend! Wishing your family healthiness!

Google Classroom Update

Good morning families! I hope everyone is doing well, staying safe, and staying home when able to. Thank you very much for all of your hard work and continued learning. Again, even though we’ve been doing this from home for a handful of weeks now, there are still continuous learning curves along the way. Remember I do understand that every family’s situation is different, especially during this time, so please just do the best that you can. Again, please let me know when you have questions, concerns, or any other circumstances that you would like to make me aware of.

I have e-mailed parents with the Google Classroom invites. I used the e-mail addresses in the students‘ files that were updated at the beginning of the year, so please let me know if you need to change yours. Sometimes, you might receive an e-mail and blog post, this is not to overwhelm you by any means, but just to give another form of open communication.

Many of you have probably heard or read, that at this time, unfortunately, all Google Meets/Hangouts have been suspended for classroom or group meetings. I will update you once we work through the details of the next steps for group meetings and/or interactive check-ins or lessons. For now, we (3rd grade teachers and instructional support staff) will be posting two recorded lessons weekly and adding them into our Google Classroom to help with learning.

Please take care of yourselves and your families!
