Schoology Parent Logins

Parents,

I am attaching a link with directions on how to access your parent schoology accounts. As teachers, we received an email from the district last week stating they have emailed all parents with their schoology usernames and passwords. You may have received this email and not noticed it. Please double check your email accounts (the ones one file with the school) for that email from the district. This link provides step by step directions on how to log in and access your parent account.

Schoology Updates

Posted on

3rd Grade families,

I posted the following as an update in Schoology, so each student should recceive the message on their screen as well.

We are almost finished with the main testing for DRA and NWEA, but will still need to do some one on one and/or small group mini assessments, so that we can start fully with our groups and new learning lab schedules.

Please be sure to complete any unfinished work, so that you are up to date for a new week of learning.

If you have any questions, please make sure you send me a message. I would like to wish everyone a wonderful weekend!

End of the Week Update

3rd graders and families,

Thank you for being flexible and hard working this week, especially with all of the NWEA and DRA testing!!! Please make sure you get any unfinished assignments completed. Remember, if something is unsubmitted/returned, you will need to double check it (complete all parts, make sure directions are followed, watch any important video links/lessons) and/or complete or retry it. Have a wonderful weekend! Stay safe and enjoy some sunshine and fresh air.

Mrs. Travis

This message is also posted in Schoology as a course update.

Zoom Meeting Links in Schoology and Updates

Posted on

Good morning 3rd Grade families,

All of the links for our daily meetings should be up and running smoothly (fingers crossed) in Schoology. If for any reason, you are unable to access them, you can refer to last weekś e-mail for the same meeting information.

Just a reminder that this week will officially begin our NWEA and/or DRA Testing. For NWEA, all students will be taking the Reading and Math Assessments. Each student will also be tested one on one virtually for their DRA Reading Level, in additon, to possibly needing some additonal specific reading skills assessments. Thank you for being patient as we begin these testing procedures.

Please make sure that during the independent work times, your child is working their hardest. At the end of each day, there is independent/small group/one on one time, so this will often give students additional opportunities to continue working on any unfinished assignments from earlier that day and any additional assigned indepedent activities/work.

Some families have inquired about a school supply list. While this is usually such a simple task, with the current circumstances, I just didn´t want you to go out and spend money because supplies can get pricey. However, when it is time to return in person, we safely want all students to have their own itmes to use. So for now, all we really need students to have/use is a dry erase board with markers and/or an eraser (blank paper can also work), sharpened pencils with erasers ready to go for learning time, and either a box of crayons, colored pencils, or markers. I am also going to attach the 3rd grade supply list, but as we know, the current situation is ever changing, so please do not rush out to purchase these things, right away, but let´s take it one step at a time with the learning plans we are presented with.

Letś continue our busy 3rd Grade journey together! Thank you so much for all of your committment and hard work as we explore very new paths this year!

Zoom Links

Dear Families,

I hope everyone had a beautiful and well needed weekend! I can´t thank you enough again for all of your patience and support as we started our 3rd grade journey last week. As many of you know, with the technology components being so different this year, we hit multiple bumps along the way, but will hopefully continue to find each week becoming a smoother one. I know the technology department has been working hard on getting issues resolved, however, there are definitely still some things in progress. I will continue to do my best as we encounter any bumps. I have each Zoom Meeting link in our Schoology Course, but tomorrow, the icon will look different (but the title will clarify). Please have your child try to access each meeting with these links first. I am also sending information for each Zoom Meeting to each childś district email address again, just to be safe. Thank you for working through this process with much needed patience!

I will see everyone tomorrow morning for a new week of 3rd Grade learning for all of us!

Schoology and E-mail

Good morning third grade families,

I want to say thank you so much for all of your support and patience as we get our new 3rd grade learning journey into action together! I know we hit many techonology bumps yesterday, so hopefully each day things are running smoother and more efficeintly. I appreciate all of the teamwork in helping our children gain the most out of this very different time and experience.

The links in Schoology for each Zoom Meet should hopefully be working directly from the link (but we know the systems had other plans yesterday), but you can still access each one through the e-mail invites this week as well.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed, take deep breaths, and continue to learn as we go!

Zoom Meeting Links

Good morning 3rd grade families,

I just wanted to make sure I remind everyone that the Zoom Meeting links for this week have been sent to each student’s district e-mail address. Each of these links will also be available on the home page for our classroom in Schoology as well, which will be the main platform where everything will appear, within time. Thank you for all of your patience and understanding during this huge transition time into our new school year. I look forward to seeing all of my students at 8:55 during our first Zoom Classroom Meeting of the week!
