3rd Grade Orientations and Material Pick-Up

Posted on

Good morning! I just wanted to let everyone know that I will be e-mailing the Zoom Invitations for your orientation time to the student’s district e-mail prior to your meeting day and time.

Please remember, 3rd grade materials can be picked up from the office Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday between 9:00 – 2:30. Each student will have a bag with a book for The Leader In Me, Reading Unit 1 Booklet, and Math Modules: Learn, Practice, and Succeed . If you requested a Chromebook, they will also be ready for you during pick-up, but they are not in the same bags, so please don’t forget to get that too.

It was great getting to see many faces during our first Zoom Meeting yesterday. I know there were some bumps with a few students getting in, but hopefully the whole process will continue to improve and go smoother.

For this week, the key goals are:

-material pick-ups

-getting technology up and running with the new system/s

-orientation

The students do not have additional specific tasks that they need to complete this week. Next week will begin our daily schedule!

Happy First Day of 3rd Grade!

Good morning everyone! As you will hear me continue to say, I know this is not the regular start to a school year, but we will journey through this time together.

Due to a guideline, we are unable to post the direct link to our Zoom Meeting on this site. We will have our first meeting this morning at 10:30 a.m. The link to the Zoom Meeting will be e-mailed to each student’s school e-mail address. In case they have forgotten how to get there:

  1. Go to the Dearborn Public Schools home page.
  2. Go to the drop down menu for “Home” and click on “Student Portal”
  3. Scroll down and under useful links, click on Student District E-mail.

I hope to see each child’s smiling face this morning!

This letter was sent out, but in case you did not get it, please see the

Happy Last Day of 3rd Grade!

Dear families,

Thank you so much for sharing your child with me through their 3rd grade year! I know that this year was clearly an extremely different journey than any other. I enjoyed getting to be your child’s teacher, while watching them grow as learners and children. This school year is definitely ending quite differently than any other. Thank you for working with me through this unprecedented time, stepping up and helping teach, showing patience, learning, getting through the tough moments, and growing. I appreciate each of you – parents and students! I would like to wish everyone a super happy, healthy, and relaxing summer break!

*I have started making phone calls, so I can wish each student a happy last day of school and wonderful summer! I have reached out to those who I have not yet contacted. If you missed my call, please call back or send me a message, so we can rearrange a better time!

*For those who have enrolled in Summer School – you should be contacted with further information and details regarding the program by one of the summer program teachers.

Thank you!!! Take care! Happy Summer to all!!!!

Additional Information for Student Belonging Pick-Up

I wanted to make sure you were informed on a couple of updates I received regarding student material/belongings pick up. Again, if you are unable to pick up your child’s items tomorrow and would still like them, please make sure to communicate that , so we can make sure the office is aware and can hold them until further arrangements can be made. If you are unable to make it, but would like a family member or friend to pick them up, please also let me know, so I can make sure the items are released to them with your permission. The pick ups must be adults and will not be given to students or siblings who are not at least 18 years old. Any items that are not picked up or communicated about will later be donated. I wanted to make sure you were also updated on these details.
