Parents,
Hopefully, today is another day filled with good health and hope!
Again, I know that our new and current normal is a huge change and a work in progress, I just wanted to note a few things in Google Classroom that I have been noticing, while trying to make class announcements on and/or comment to students as they turn in work. I know your plates are very full right now, but if you could just take a moment to reinforce this with your child, it will help make their learning time on the platform and learning sites more meaningful! I appreciate your time and support even through such altering times. If you could please remind students:
- To complete all of the Google Classroom work in order. They can choose which order to work on each subject, but if they didn’t complete last week’s work, doing that first is important. This includes the lessons suggested/assigned in IXL too.
- They have to complete a task or assignment before they “Turn it in” in Google Classroom. If they turn it in blank or don’t attach their answers, the assignment will get returned, so they can make their best attempt.
- Make sure they are turning in the assignments in Google Classroom and not just sharing them with me through e-mail (it helps keep them organized and allows me to provide feedback in the same way.
Your support, patience, and flexibility is sincerely appreciated!! As always, you know how to contact me with any questions!
