Update on Remote Learning

Good morning students and families. I hope everyone is doing well and continuing to stay as healthy as possible. Please continue to stay informed with the district’s COVID19 updates and helpful informative resources.

This week will begin our official first week of online learning. Again, this will definitely be a learning process for all of us. I will be here to help guide you through the process and assist to help make this new experience as smooth as possible. Please be patient and understanding if we hit some bumps along the way. Together, we will get through this!

Again, I have sent an invite to all of my students through Google Classroom. Once they accept the invite through their Dearborn Schools E-mail (which is their student identification number – they also know these numbers as their classroom and media Chromebook login/lunch card number) and join the classroom, they will have access to all of the learning and assignments. I want to thank you in advance for bearing with me as updates and/or changes are made. Please know that in addition to Google Classroom, I have created an IXL.com account for each student. Please see the included roster from the previous blog post for individual student log in information. This is a platform where students will also be able to complete learning activities and tasks that correlate with our Math and Reading/ELA lessons. All specific required activities will be listed in Google Classroom.

With our situation being so fluid, thank you so much for your understanding during this time. I will make adjustments as we go to ensure quality and effective learning, while also understanding differences in each student’s schedule and availability to technology. Please continue to stay safe!
