
Because there is no school on Friday, May 22, I am posting some suggested weekend activities today. As a reminder, there is no school on Monday, May 25 due to Memorial Day. We will resume online/remote learning on Tuesday, May 26.
Go Outside!
We are expecting some beautiful weather this weekend! I encourage you and your child go outside for at least 60 minutes each day. As a reminder, Dearborn Public School’s playground equipment and sports fields are closed.
Field Trip: Garden City Fire Station
Mr. Liepe has provided us with another field trip to the Garden City Fire Station! In this video, the firefighters are giving us a tour of the fire station.
Science Experiment: Make a Volcano!
A fun science experiment you can do at home is make a volcano! This is a great activity to do outside or on tile floor. Here are the materials you need:
- (2) Cups
- Baking soda
- Vinegar
- (Optional) Food coloring

Work Time
I encourage your child to engage in imaginary play for at least 60 minutes a day. To keep the consistency with what we do at school, I encourage you to follow the Plan, Do, Review process.
