Number Systems: Homework is to complete the first SLOT quiz (see homework attachments). We are using multiple strategies to find the least common multiple using the most efficient method (see ISN page 19) which are listing multiples, upside down division, or prime factorization.
Ratio and Proportions: We completed our Grocery Unit Rate projects and presentations. We will be reviewing Thursday and the test has been changed to Friday.

Number Systems: In SLOT, we are working on finding the LCM or least common multiple for two or more numbers. We added foldables and completed guided note taking and this is in our ISN on pages 18 and 19.
Ratio and Proportions: We are presenting our Shopping to find Unit Rates Projects. We will continue this tomorrow.
Khan Academy is to complete 20 minutes for this week. Some of you have been reassigned the skill, “Unit Rate” if you are still struggling. New skills for this week are:

We will be presenting these in class Monday as well! We didn’t have time to check yesterday’s homework (Unit Rate Practice Assessment) so please bring that Monday.

Number System: We will take our last SLOT quiz for creating equivalent expressions using the GCF and distributive property tomorrow.
Ratio and Proportions: We found grocery items to compare unit prices in advertisements. This was sent home and if calculations were not completed in class, this is homework. Make sure you have the grocery items cut out from the advertisement with price and size. See homework attachments which have an example on the front.

Friday, October 6, 2017–Request for grocerty store advertisements
Number Systems: We took our first SLOT quiz on writing equivalent expressions using the GCF and the distributive property. So, SLOT quiz grades are not fixed and will be updated throughout next week.
Ratio and Proportions: We are calculating unit rate, today we took notes on the steps and solved problems with a partner. This is in our ISN on page 13. Most students completed this, but if not, please do so.
We will be starting a project later next week using grocery store advertisements, for example, Kroger, Meijer, Target, CVS, etc. Please save as many as you can from your Sunday paper or mailers and bring in!
