Homework due 10/5 and Summative Khan Academy Announcement:

Hours 0,4: All of Assignment 15
Hours 2,4,5: All of Assignment 13

The Summer Learning that was supposed to take place on Khan Academy will be given a summative grade(!) on October 10. From June 16-October 10, students are expected to have 384 minutes done on Khan Academy. I have recommended a bunch more things today for them to work on that matches what we are working on in class. They can also go off by themselves and work on whatever they wish.
This is a district requirement….

In regards to Khan Academy….

120 minutes of Khan Academy is due on Friday, September 30. At that time I will check how many minutes each student has been on (from September 6-30) and give them a formative grade.

In regards to finding out how many minutes you have gone on Khan Academy:

There isn’t a good way to find out exactly how many minutes you have gone on each month. You can check in the “Progress” tab on Khan and set the range to the first of the month to present day. (This month’s progress will go from September 6th to the 30th.) However, if you add up the minutes for each skill, the total is not exactly correct. I suggest that you use some sort of timer to track your minutes. If you want to stop in and ask Mr. Suni how many minutes you’ve been on after school one day, that would be fine.

How to get on KhanAcademy at home:

-Go to gmail.com
-Log in with your school username (ex. 20067565@dearbornschools.org ) and password
-Open a new tab and go to Khanacademy.org
-Click the sign in with Google red bar and you will be automatically logged in.
-(Check in the corner for your name to make sure you’re logged in.)
-Click the bell at the top of the screen to see the missions/activities Mr. Suni has recommended for you!
