Going to have to change how I grade Khan Academy for April…

Everything in the last blog post is still in effect, except how students will be graded. Since the mastery challenges don’t seem to be popping up like I thought, here is the new grading scale:

Reach the “mastered” step: 105% (A+)
Reach the “Practiced” step: 100% (A+) – Get five in a row correct with no hints.
Reach the “Struggling” step: C (75%) – Get a few correct, not in a row.
Stay in the “Needs Practice” step: E (O%) – Do nothing.

If you can figure out how to get to the mastery challenge for each statistic strand, you can have that extra 5%. (Check under “subject”, “grade”, “7th”…)
Otherwise, just get 5 questions in a row correct in each strand, get to the “practiced” step, and receive 100%.
