A companion piece to the “Edsel Ford- Unique but United” Word Wall is a student essay. The ELA and ELL departments will spearhead the writing contest.
Writing Prompt: Students share their understanding of Unique but United and what it means at Edsel Ford High in relation to the rest of the world.
- Print NEATLY in ink or TYPE
- Add a heading with your name and hour
- Due date: Friday, March 3rd
- up to 10 extra credit points 🙂
A committe will select five to ten essays and have the Detroit News or Free Press pick one and publish it in the paper as a human interest story.

Study your vocabulary. If you lost it, go back to Monday’s post and review the words from the attached document. Review plot/character/suspense building techniques from the story.
5th hr– HW
Finish reading “Leiningen vs. the Ants” (chunk3-pgs.562-end) and complete both sides of the two-column notes. It will be collected on Thursday! If you were absent, print a new copy: Leiningen Vs. the Ants 2 column; Leiningen Vs. the Ants 2 column side 2

–PERSONIFICATION is used heavily by the author to characterize the ANTS as worthy opponents.
