We will be wrapping up the book and watching the film next week to review/prepare for the Unit Test. Look for a review sheet next week.
The test is scheduled for Monday, May 8th and it WILL be included for the marking period. If you are absent, you will make it up the next day DURING class so that it can be graded before the Tuesday deadline for grades.

TKAM Ch. 16 and 17 Focus
The trial begins! Pay close attention to:
-attitudes from various townspeople
-Scout, Jem, and Dill sneak in to court
-Mr. Dolphus Raymond and his “coca-cola” bag
-Sheriff Tate’s testimony
-Bob Ewell’s testimony turns testy!
-Atticus focuses on two MAIN points
You will have 20 more minutes in class to complete the PERSPECTIVES chart that we started yesterday.

Read chapter 15 for Thursday. Discover:
–how Atticus makes an error in judgment
–how a child’s innocence saves the day
–the difference between moral and physical courage

Students should be done reading through chapter 14 for tomorrow. We will be working on the skill of making inferences from passages in chapters 12-14.
Writer’s Notebook Prompts will be evaluated for growth based on goals this week, so there will NOT be a new AOW posted until next week.
If you missed a prompt, please stop by during lunch or come after school on Thursday to make up missing writing prompts.
TKAM Quiz/District CCR/Quiz Prep
Monday is the quiz on Ch. 1-12. Since the passage analysis for the District CCR is from the novel, I will NOT add a longer passage to the quiz. You will take the multiple choice (20 ques) quiz first, and then read the passage and complete the analysis. Please bring both a #2 pencil and a pen to class Monday. Attached is QUIZ PREP:
