Spring Break Work

Posted by Genevieve Sullivan on March 22, 2016 in Class News |

Please read chapters 11-16 over break and be prepared on Monday, 4-4-16 for classwork on those chapters.  Pay particular attention to the following:

How Calpurnia acts differently in different settings–why?

Aunt Alexandra’s attitude toward the kids and her belief system about “fine folks”

How is she a hypocrite?

Scout’s reluctance to being a “southern lady”

How Jem is growing up and changing

The jailhouse scene and how Scout “saves the day”

Development of discrimination through the character of Dolphus Raymond

***No new AOW posting over break!  We will use AOW #5 from this week as our writing prompt on 4-6.

See you soon:)
