Hello and welcome to a new school year! I am so glad to start the new year with you! We are going to be starting the new year by….you guessed it….my favorite activity…running/jogging. But there is a MAJOR change to the grading of the running. Instead of being graded on running by how far you go, you will be graded on how fast you go! There will be no more 13 and 15 minute runs! Instead you will be timed in a mile run in 3rd, 4th and 5th grades and timed for a half mile in grades K, 1st and 2nd! We will also be working on Best effort, Participation and Good Sportsmanship. Soccer dribbling and kicking will also be covered this Marking Period. For all 4th and 5th graders – there will be swimming in December!! Girls – I will be selling swim caps at Open House for $4.00. I hope to see you at Open House this Thursday, Sept. 12th, between 6pm and 7:30 pm.
