Week 5-April 13-17: Welcome Back from Spring Break!

Welcome back to week 5. I hope you all had a fun filled “Spring Break” and now you are ready for another week filled with learning fun! I will be monitoring you work this week, so work hard and meet your goals! Here are a few suggested assignments for week 5, April 13-17. Please complete the technology survey below for Mr. Short.

Technology Survey

In an effort to continue to help with online learning our school district and Haigh are collecting additional information about technology at home. These results help us plan for our instruction and will also allow for an additional chromebook pick-up day in the future.  These results are confidential to the school and will be shared with the necessary classroom and resource teachers and administrators only. Please complete this survey as early as possible. Thank you.

MATH: Please start Module 6 and complete Lessons 1-5 by watching the videos in the below links. Students may also complete the homework assignments for the lessons. If you did not pick up your child’s math workbook when we had access to the school, you can use the resources below to see or print these items to help you. Students should also be going to the ZEARN math site and be completing one lesson a day. When students complete the lessons for the week, they may continue math practice on ZEARN. Remember all math lessons are on Zearn and it is great practice for all the math they will need for third grade.

Technology: Please spend at least one hour per day on technology sites such as IReady, Zearn, Razkids, Mystery Science, Readworks, GoNoodle

Outside recess/Indoor Playtime is important. At least 45 minutes per day of unstructured play or movement.

-The fun exercise site is GoNoodle, let the whole family get up and move. Some of the activities get you moving, and some of the activities are calming and stress relievers! Have fun with it!

GoNoodle is awesome fun for the whole family! We love it when everyone does our dances, sings our songs, and plays GoNoodle together. It’s a daily ritual in most elementary schools across the U.S. (and many around the world) and we think it’s a super fun thing you can do with your little ones every day too!  Plus, we have another app called “GoNoodle Games” that is an awesome way to get your kids moving in front of the screen. Sign up for our emails and in the days and weeks ahead, we will send you weekly fresh, fun ideas for you and your kids well-beyond GoNoodle. Sign up to get these on the Good Energy page.

Mystery Science: Please spend some time viewing some of the lessons on this site.
