  • MAKE SURE YOU BROWN BAG A DINNER OR SNACK FOR TUESDAY’S REHEARSAL
  • ALL INDIVIDUAL ACTS MUST BE IN FULL COSTUME TUESDAY AND APPROVED BY MS. CRONIN!!!

 

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 14TH– NO REHEARSAL

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 15TH– 3:00PM- 8:00PM

CALLED: EVERYONE

  • DINNER WILL BE PROVIDED ON THURSDAY!

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 16TH “THE GREATEST SHOWCASE” CALL TIME 5PM

 

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW:

  • Bring your school work and a book for those down times. Remember, we are STUDENTS FIRST!
  • Everyone must wear appropriate dance shoes or sneakers…NO BOOTS!
  • We will break for Dinner/Snack at 5:15PM and will resume rehearsal at 5: 45
  • You are responsible for your own hair and makeup at Friday’s performance!

 

ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY FOR TUESDAY AND THURSDAY!

 

STC Willa Johnston Memorial Theater Scholarship

STC Willa Johnston Memorial Theater Scholarship

 

Great opportunity for students looking to take part in the Dearborn Summer Youth Theatre Program at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center. We will be putting on Disney’s 101 Dalmatians Kids which allows ages 5-12 and Disney’s Little Mermaid which has an age limit of 12-18. The scholarship is in the amount of $100 and can be applied to the shows mentioned above.  Below are the qualifications for the scholarship:

The Willa Johnston Memorial Theater Scholarship will be awarded to students who:

  • Demonstrate a love of theater
  • Show leadership and commitment
  • Are kind, welcoming and accepting of others

Please submit a 500-word essay on how you have contributed to the performing arts and how you will use this opportunity to further impact the theatre community.

The essay must be submitted by Saturday, June 9, 2018. The scholarship committee will determine awards based on submissions.

Dear STC Family,

I am tremendously fortunate to have such great support from so many of you in so many different ways.

I am honored to be working with such talented and hardworking students and staff.  I am proud of the cooperation, mutual respect, the level of the commitment, and the teamwork that has been demonstrated by everyone involved in this production.

These students have put egos aside and discovered that whether they had one line or fifty, were on or off stage, that everyone shares equally in the pride and success of such an accomplishment.

To our theatre parents and family, thank you for sharing your students with me.  I’m always aware that they spend many hours away from home to create this art that we do…  I am grateful and honored to work with such special students. Thank you.

Addams Family Rehearsal Schedule

Scheduling rehearsals are based on the needs of our show. I will post a weekly schedule until our vocal coach and I have a better idea of our production needs. Please check the Blog as it will be updated regularly. It is my hope that a more solid rehearsal schedule will be made available in Mid-February.

Performers are asked to only attend the rehearsals they are called for.

Tech Week Reminder

Hey STCers,

This is a friendly reminder that Tech Week starts this Monday through Friday from 3-7:30

Make sure you get an extra lunch and extra clothing if needed. Always wear appropriate footwear for the stage and don’t forget those holiday smiles…

Scripts are required and patience too! Bring your school work and a book too! We are students FIRST!

The Willa Johnston Memorial Theater Scholarship will be awarded to students who:

 

  • Demonstrate a love of theater
  • Show leadership and commitment
  • Are kind, welcoming and accepting of others
  • Reuse their water bottles and recycle them when they are no longer useful

 

Students who are interested in applying should submit an essay explaining how they embody these qualities, and how they will continue to do so in the future.

Essays should be submitted to Mrs. Cronin on or before June 16th to be considered for the 2017 summer theater program.
