First Read/Sing-Through Will Be Thursday January 25, 2018 & Parent-Night January 30, 2018

Greetings Addams Family,

Thursday January 25, 2018 will be our first read/sing-through at 3:30-6 in the wonderful Stout Auditorium.

Parent Night Meeting 

Tuesday January 30th we will have rehearsal from 3:30-6 with a parent meeting following rehearsal. Parent night is a meeting run by our STC leadership council and will provide parents with an overview of production details and needs. Parent night will last no more than 30 min and will include coffee and refreshments.

A monthly schedule will be provided at parent night but is subject to change based on the needs of this production.

STC Addams Family AUDITION UPDATE!

Congratulations!  It was wonderful to see so many excellent performers. Thank you all for attending auditions and sharing your talents with us.

 

We are not calling back for all roles.  The final cast list will be posted on Monday, January  22, 2018.

 

Our first rehearsal and read-through will be Thursday, January 25, 2018 in the magnificent Stout Middle School Auditorium!

STC Willa Johnston Memorial Theater Scholarship $$$$

Great opportunity for students looking to take part in the Summer Youth Theatre Program at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center. We will be putting on Disney’s Beauty & the Beast. Below are the qualifications for the scholarship:

The Willa Johnston Memorial Theater Scholarship will be awarded to students who:

 

  • Demonstrate a love of theater
  • Show leadership and commitment
  • Are kind, welcoming and accepting of others
  • Reuse their water bottles and recycle them when they are no longer useful

 

Students who are interested in applying should submit an essay explaining how they embody these qualities, and how they will continue to do so in the future.

Essays should be submitted to Mrs. Cronin on or before June 16th to be considered for the 2017 summer theater program.

Note From The Directors:

Thanks to everyone who took the time to audition for the upcoming musical. We were all very proud of you and impressed by the singing and acting throughout the audition process. Remember, you are all very talented young men and women, and we cannot wait to see you on stage in April. We will be having 5 shows for sure, but we might add one additional show. We will be double casting for some leads, hence the numbers next to names. Overall, we cast over 70 students for the show and the amount of talent made it very difficult for the panel of judges. A lot of time and effort went into these decisions, and the results follow. We wish you all the best and cannot wait to begin rehearsals.

Our first official rehearsal will be Tuesday, January 24, 2017 in the Stout Middle School Auditorium. This will be a read through of the show from start to finish. We will begin rehearsal at 3:15 and will be finished by 5 pm.

ALL those who have been cast MUST inform Mr. Baydoun if you accept your part in the show. This can be done two ways. The first, verbally, or the second, send an email to baydour@dearbornschools.org with your intent. Our hope is that none of you decide to leave the cast, but we understand that this is a huge time commitment and schedules can conflict. There will be a rehearsal schedule for each month at the beginning of the month.

Again, thank you for auditioning and our best to you all in the next step in preparing for our show Aladdin, Jr. in April!
