Dear Rashid Baydoun and Lisa Cronin,

The Dearborn Community Arts Council is pleased to inform you that based on an initial nomination from Berni Herm, Stout Theater Company has been selected by committee as the recipient of the Arts Organization Award for the prestigious Mayor’s Arts Awards for 2017.

This Award is given annually to an arts organization recognized for outstanding contributions to the advancement and support of the arts in the greater Dearborn community – and has shown the importance of working hard in the arts while leading by example.

The Mayor’s Arts Awards for 2017, presented by the Dearborn Community Arts Council will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at 7:00 PM in Studio A at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center with an Afterglow / Reception to follow across the lobby inside the Padzieski Art Gallery.

This special occasion will acknowledge and celebrate your exceptional efforts in the advancement of the arts regionally. Please RSVP to this email to let us know how many seats you may need reserved. We encourage you to invite your colleagues, family and friends to this recognition event. If you require any additional information or have any questions please contact my office at 313-943-3095 or contact me personally any time via email at: rvaldez@ci.dearborn.mi.us.

DCAC requests that you provide background information ASAP to assist in accurately acknowledging your organization’s accomplishments. Please be prepared to speak for no more than 3-5 minutes total upon receiving your award. Also, unless we’re notified otherwise, “STOUT THEATER COMPANY” is how the name will appear on the award.

The Dearborn Community Arts Council appreciates your dedication to the arts community and extends its heartfelt thanks for all you’ve done and continue to do.  DCAC looks forward to acknowledging your outstanding contributions.

Congratulations!

All Costumes, Shoes, Shirts, Pants, Tights, Shorts, Tank tops ETC.. are Required by Tomorrow 4/10/18

A Note from the Marvelous Marci…..

We have another Tech Week and then Dress Rehearsal. It is vital actors have everything they need for costumes when they are back from Spring Break.

Things actors may need are the following:

  • Jazz shoes, character shoes, boots, shoes etc that match their character
  • Hose, tights, etc to go with their character
  • Tank tops and shorts. NO LOGOS! (All actors)
  • Shirts, pants, jeans, etc If your character requires it.
  • Anything else I may ask you to bring.

Please make sure:

  • You shower every day.
  • To use deodorant. Reapply as needed.
  • If you need a Hygiene Kit, see me.
  • Hang up your costumes! Remember, you are always auditioning for your next role. That includes how well you take care of your costume.
  • If you see someone else’s costume on the floor, Hang it up!
***If you don’t know what your character requires, ask me. I will be more than happy to let you know what you need.

It is VERY important that you are prepared. Tech Week is when we work the bugs out of the sets, sound, lighting, costumes, etc.

I hope you have had a wonderful Spring Break and I look forward to seeing all of you on April 9th!
