Hello families!

Don’t forget, there will be no school May 6-May 9th as teachers will be out for home visits. Ms. Thabet and I can’t wait to visit with everyone at their house!

We look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Monday, May 13th.

You may have noticed some changes in our classroom this week, the children worked hard to recover the old furniture in our book area as well as sand some tree stump stools to add a little nature to our room. Come check them out the next time you stop by!

Happy Earth Day!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our field trip to the Environmental Interpretive Center, please enjoy these pictures from the morning.

Tomorrow is our field trip to the University of Michigan – Dearborn Environmental Interpretive Center (pond study). Children will begin at our normal time of 8:05am. Parents must be at Cotter by 9:00am to load the bus and drive to U of M-Dearborn. Our program runs from 9:30-11:00am and will be outside RAIN OR SHINE. Make sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and check the weather in the morning so both you and your child are dressed appropriately. The bus will return to cotter at approximately 11:15am.

Hello Families!

There will be a slight time change for our parent meeting on Thursday, April 18th. We will begin at 10:45am instead of 10:30am. We have a gust speaker coming to our classroom, please be on time and arrange child care for younger siblings. Our meeting will be in our classroom and run from 8:45-12:00pm. The schedule will also be available for you to sign up for a home visit appointment at this time as well.

Today is our monthly parent meeting. We’ll be meeting in our classroom from 8:45-10:15am.

Hello families!

Due to icy conditions throughout the metro Detroit area, all Dearborn Public Schools will be closed today, Tuesday, February 12, 2019.

A few reminders:

1. Parent talk meets tomorrow at 8:30am, if you missed our last parent meeting this is your opportunity to make it up.

2. Thursday is a half day, we will dismiss at 11:05am. This is also Valentine’s day. We will not be having a party in our classroom, but if your child would like to send in Valentine’s cards they can. We have 16 children in our classroom. Please DO NOT send in candy or treats as we have food allergies in our classroom.

3. Next Thursday, February 21st is our mandatory classroom parent meeting. We will be meeting in our classroom from 8:45-10:00am. Please make arrangements for younger siblings.

Kindergarten Round up is fast approaching! Here is the list of dates an times:

A few quick updates:

1. I will be sending home snow gear this weekend, please wash and return to school with your child on Monday.
2. I am missing a few daily 5 bags (blue or yellow) please look around your house to see if you have one and send it to school with your child on Monday.
3. Valentine’s day is next Thursday , it is also a half day. We will not be having a party in our classroom, but if your child would like to bring in valentine’s cards we will pass them out at the end of the day. Please DO NOT send candy as we have food allergies in our classroom.

As long as we have school today our field trip is still on! Parents will drive children to the Henry Ford Centennial Library at 9:30am. Parents and children will stay together at the library from 9:30-11:30am.
