Your child should have brought home a letter, along with list 1 of their sight words, in their folder on Friday.  Once your child has mastered ALL the words on the list, sign your name on the half piece of paper, and send it back to school.  I will test your child on the words and if they pass, they will receive the next list.  The goal is for your child to complete all 12 lists by the end of the school year.  The list starts out with Kindergarten sight words and will continue through third grade.  The words on these lists should be memorized and not sounded out.  Your child should know them right away by sight.  If you have any questions regrading this, please contact me.  Thank you so much for your support in making sure your child is a successful reader! 🙂
