Woodworth Information:

We hope this message finds you all in good health. Woodworth Middle School will be handing out chromebooks to students who still need technology on Monday, April 27th from 12-2.  Parent and student ID must be present in order to get a chromebook. We will be handing chromebooks out off of Hubbard Drive facing Greenfield – Door #7.  We are asking everyone to stay in their car and drive up waiting for directions from our volunteers.  We ask everyone to adhere to the strict guidelines of social distancing in order to protect our families and our volunteers.

Reading Comprehension for 6-7th Graders:

  1. First look at the bolded words and see if you understand what they mean. If not google them to find our their meaning. This will help to understand what you are reading.

2. When answering the questions, find the answers in your passage and underline them.

3. Write out your questions in complete sentences. You can always restate the question into your answer. Email me if you have questions soverib@dearbornschools.org

Fluttering Butterfly Craft for Preschool-2nd grade:

Students can work on direction following, Temporal (before, after), sequential (first, next, last),

spatial (middle, top, bottom)

1. Before you cut the butterfly out paint the butterfly.
2. After you cut out the butterfly out glue decorations on your butterfly.
3. Third glue the possible stick into the middle of the butterfly wings. 
4. At the end glue the butterflies attenas to the top of the stick.

Have your child retell how they made their butterfly. They can orally or in written form retell, how it was made in the past tense.


1. At first I cut the butterfly out and then I painted it.
2. After I cut the butterfly out I decorated it.
3. The third thing was I glued the stick in the middle of the wings.
4. At the end I glued the antennas on top of the stick.
He can also write down what he did by drawing pictures and writing sentences with it. Have fun with the project.
