MATH-All week we will be counting up and down to 100…by 1’s, 10,’s and beginning at different numbers, like “Count by 10’s, to 100,  beginning at 30.”  “Count backwards by 10’s to 0, starting at 80.”

Next week we will finish Module 5!  Only Module 6 is left.

SOCIAL STUDIES and SCIENCE-We will continue on with Earth Day needs.

On Monday, May 20 at 9:45, we will be having a Clean Up Parade!  This year we are going to “tell” the story of The Lorax.  The Kindergarteners will be carrying the truffula trees.  We’ll make the trees in class.  To help with that, would you send in your empty paper towel tubes.  We will transform them into truffula trees.  🙂

I have finished all reading assessments and every student has gone up in their reading level!!  Congratulations and thanks for your support at home.  It takes both school and home to help in the process of success.

Next week:

I will begin the final NWEA testing with READING.  Math will be the following week.  Lots of good sleep and a healthy breakfast are important components for helping students to test with ease and comfort.

Thursday, May 16 is our field trip to GREENFIELD VILLAGE.  Parent chaperones will meet at school at 9:00 where we can discuss details.  Then chaperones will follow/meet us at the Village while students take the bus.  If you have not sent in your Permission slip and money, please send it in by Friday.

I think that’s all for now.

Enjoy your week!
